UncleDrum: Groove Lab ("UncleDrum") is developed by Miguel Rodríguez Morell, using the developer name Funky Frog Labs. Miguel Rodríguez Morell is the controller for the personal data processing he determines in connection with UncleDrum, including handling support enquiries. Google, Apple and other advertising partners also process information as described below; their roles depend on the service and processing involved.

Contact: funkyfroglabs@gmail.com. This policy covers UncleDrum on Android and iOS and visits to this privacy page.

1. App Data and Local Storage

UncleDrum does not require an app account and does not use a developer-operated backend to upload your rhythm library or practice history. Patterns, folders, practice data, preferences, instrument volumes, tutorial progress, cached Premium status and temporary ad-free reward state are stored on your device.

The app does not request your payment card details or access your contacts, calendar, photos, camera, microphone or GPS location for its features. Playing the sounds included in the app does not record your voice or performance. Advertising services may infer approximate location from your IP address.

2. Importing and Sharing Patterns

You can import pattern files into your local library. When you choose to share a pattern, UncleDrum creates a temporary .uncledrum file and opens the system sharing menu. You choose the receiving app or service.

The shared file includes the pattern and its metadata, such as name, description, author or artist fields, tags and dates. Any personal information you enter in those fields may therefore be included. UncleDrum does not upload the file to a developer-operated server. The receiving service handles the file under its own privacy practices, and deleting it from UncleDrum does not delete copies you have shared.

3. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads

The free version uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK for banner advertisements and optional rewarded advertisements. Watching a rewarded advertisement grants a temporary period without banners.

Premium disables advertising requests controlled by the app. Temporary ad-free rewards hide banners, but may not prevent rewarded-ad preloading. These features do not guarantee that Google SDKs are never initialized or that consent-related communications stop.

Google's disclosures describe processing of IP address and approximate location, device and advertising identifiers where permitted, app and ad interactions, advertising data, and diagnostic or performance information. The iOS SDK also declares crash data and other diagnostic data. The data processed can differ by platform, SDK version, privacy choices and advertising mode. Purposes include advertising, measurement and analytics, and fraud prevention.

AdMob may involve advertising and measurement partners in addition to Google. Where the consent message is displayed, its partner list provides information about the configured partners. Inclusion in that list does not mean every partner receives data on every request.

See Google's Privacy Policy, Google's information for users of partner apps, and the SDK disclosures for Android and iOS.

4. Consent and Advertising Privacy Choices

UncleDrum uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage advertising privacy choices. This involves communications with Google to determine the applicable message and manage choices, as well as related technical and diagnostic processing.

A European regulations message is configured for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. You can manage the purposes and partners in the message. Where UMP requires a privacy-options entry, you can reopen the form through Privacy options in the app's settings to review or change your choices, withdraw consent or object to processing presented on a legitimate-interest basis.

Declining advertising personalization does not necessarily prevent all data processing or all advertisements: non-personalized or limited advertisements may still be requested when permitted. It does not unlock Premium. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. Premium Purchases

Premium is a non-consumable in-app purchase. Google Play or Apple's App Store handles payment, purchase records, refunds and restoration. UncleDrum receives transaction and entitlement information to unlock or restore Premium and caches the entitlement locally. The developer does not receive your full payment card information or send receipts to a developer-operated verification server.

See App Store & Privacy and Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Support Enquiries

If you email support, Miguel Rodríguez Morell receives your email address, the contents of your message and any attachments or technical details you provide. These are used to respond, investigate the reported issue and handle related requests. Please provide only information needed for your enquiry. The mailbox is accessed by Miguel and is hosted by Google's Gmail service.

7. Purposes and Legal Bases

Where the GDPR applies, processing needed to provide requested features, administer Premium and address purchase-related enquiries is based on performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). General support correspondence is based on the legitimate interest in answering enquiries and resolving issues (Article 6(1)(f)). Processing needed to meet applicable legal obligations is based on Article 6(1)(c).

Consent is the basis for advertising processing that requires consent (Article 6(1)(a)), including advertising personalization where applicable. For other processing, the relevant provider or partner may rely on another permitted basis, such as legitimate interests for security or fraud prevention. The consent interface and providers' notices identify the purposes and bases they present; consent refusal must not be interpreted as consent to another purpose.

Support information is not used to send promotional emails. Providing it is voluntary, although we may be unable to resolve an enquiry without sufficient details.

8. Retention and Deletion

Local data remains until you remove it or clear the app's storage. Uninstalling generally removes app data, but device or cloud backups, exported files and copies shared with others may remain under the relevant platform's controls. Purchase records can remain in your store account so Premium can be restored.

Support emails and attachments are kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and any necessary follow-up, or to meet legal obligations or handle claims. You can request deletion by emailing funkyfroglabs@gmail.com, subject to those requirements.

Google, Apple and advertising partners determine retention for their processing under their notices and obligations. UncleDrum does not promise automatic deletion of their records within a particular period. You can contact us about a privacy request, and use the providers' privacy controls for processing they control.

9. Providers and International Transfers

Recipients may include Google for advertising, consent management and email hosting; Apple or Google for store purchases; advertising and measurement partners involved in AdMob; and a service you choose when sharing a pattern.

These providers may process information outside your country, including outside the EEA. Where required, transfers must have a lawful safeguard. Google describes its use of adequacy frameworks and standard contractual clauses in its data transfer information. Other providers describe applicable safeguards in their privacy notices. Contact us for information about transfers relating to processing we control.

This policy page is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may process visitors' IP addresses and technical request information to provide and secure the website. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.

10. Your Rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights depend on the processing and applicable law. To exercise rights concerning processing controlled by Miguel Rodríguez Morell, email funkyfroglabs@gmail.com. We may need proportionate information to establish your identity; do not send identity documents unless requested and necessary.

You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or another competent supervisory authority. Contacting us first is not a condition for doing so. For data controlled independently by Google, Apple or another provider, their notices explain how to exercise your rights.

11. Children and Security

UncleDrum is not specifically directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to the developer, contact us so we can investigate. This statement does not remove protections applicable to teenagers or other minors under local law.

Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this policy as features, providers or practices change. The revised policy will be posted here with an updated date.
